The Orzhov Syndicate

The white/blackWhiteBlack Orzhov Syndicate is the guild of business, borrowing order from white with the selfish want of power from black. Orzhov Wealth is power to the Orzhov, so they drive to own and control as much as possible using their influence and money whether through shrewd business, cutthroat politics, or religion.

Founded on the conviction that wealth serves as power, the Orzhov orthodoxy was built upon guilt-created structures that propagate wealth. The guild is an amalgam of religion, banking, and organized crime, and it contains some of Ravnica’s wealthiest and most oppressed citizens.
All guild members must repay their debts, and membership often includes a provision of servitude beyond death. Many within the guild believe their authority is essential to Ravnica’s integrity and may seize power using unscrupulous tactics. Although most Ravnicans view the Orzhov Syndicate as corrupt, their promises of wealth, prestige, and longevity offer enticing opportunities to those in need.

Orzhov decks focus on pursuing the death of your own creatures and the loss of your life total to push towards victory.

The College of Silverquill

Silverquill is the College of Eloquence at Strixhaven University on the plane of Arcavios. It is white/black aligned and has the Inklings as mascots. The founder of the college is the elder dragon Shadrix Silverquill.

Shadrix Silverquill

Silverquills wield the magic of words, from inspiring battle poetry to biting arcane insults. This magic can manifest spoken, written, and signed word. Stylish, intimidating, and tirelessly competitive, these mages are born leaders with a razor-sharp wit and natural charisma that can be used for good or for ill. This power is what fuels the internal conflict for Silverquill; the power of words is inherently self-biased, so should those with this power use it for themselves (ambition and black mana) or for the good of society (order and white mana)?

From all colleges, Silverquill has the fastest magic because words can be spoken quickly (unlike mixing ingredients, for example). Because of this, they are also the most adept in combat magic, and their training has military aspects.

The founder:
Shadrix Silverquill

Shadrix Silverquill is one of the five elder dragons from Arcavios that founded Strixhaven.
The Silverquill College is named in his honor. He is a master of light and shadow focused through communication.

Shadrix Silverquill is loquacious yet calculated. A master wordsmith, his every statement is purposeful and laced with power. Reflecting the duality of his college, Shadrix is an inspiring leader and exacting mentor, pushing others to live up to their greatest potential.
A pragmatic optimist, Shadrix believes in the possibility of peace and its constant fragility. Of all the dragon founders, Shadrix is one of the most hesitant to leave Strixhaven under the guidance of professors.
Though much of his time is spent overseeing the diplomatic conversations at the Forum of Amity, Shadrix has been known to show up spontaneously at Strixhaven to deliver an eloquent lecture before leaving once again.

Champions of Amonkhet

The Champions of Amonkhet is a racing team from Amonkhet that competed in the Ghirapur Grand Prix, winning the second edition of the race. The team consists of both the living and the dead from the plane.

zahur

In the wake of the Hour of Devastation and the New Phyrexian Invasion, Amonkhet has risen again through the collective effort of the living and the dead. The Amonkheti know toil, so in the new future they are building, they have made a conscious effort to make room for sport, leisure, and play as they raise heroes who don't swing swords in battle alongside those who do.
One champion of this new measure is Zahur, an undead leonin charioteer from the lost era before Nicol Bolas.
Zahur leads the Amonkheti racing team in the second annual interplanar Ghirapur Grand Prix alongside Basri Ket and a crew of living and undead charioteers.
They are aided by Lazotep servants and their mighty chariots are pulled by powerful undead creatures. These racers ride to win glory and bring acclaim to Naktamun, Hazoret, the new gods, and the people of Amonkhet who still struggle to build a new plane of their own from the ruin of history.

The Champions of Amonkhet would go on to win the 2nd Ghirapur Grand Prix and claim the Aetherspark as their own.

The Legion of Dusk

Elenda Saint of dusk

The Legion of Dusk (occasionally Dusk Legion) is the military arm of Alta Torrezon, an ecclesiastic vampire monarchy on the continent of Torrezon on the plane of Ixalan.

The Legion persists as a storied praetorian organization of professional conquistadores: explorers, navigators, stewards, logisticians, and administrators of Alta Torrezon's Imperial project.
Buoyed by a massive host of human aspirants, the modern Legion of Dusk is the premier expeditionary force of Alta Torrezon, capable of managing massive operations across oceans and directing its profit back to its coffers on Torrezon.
